This
course aims in providing the students with
the basic knowledge of the concepts,
necessary depth of understanding and
application skills. Application skills could
be experimental skills or problems solving
skills. Experimental skills are built
through laboratory work. Problem solving
skills is built through a variety of graded
exercises, which involves concept analysis
and numerical calculations. The course
enhances the quality of life of humans and
helps them to contribute to the
technological development leading to better
quality of life and national growth.
B.Sc., Physics is a three-year Degree course
spread over six semesters, affiliated to
Bangalore University. The topics covered in
this course are mechanics, Oscillations,
Waves, Electricity, Magnetism, Radiation,
Acoustics, Optics, Lasers, Gravitation,
Space physics, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic and
Molecular Physics, Statistical Physics,
Solid state Physics, Relativity, Astro
Physics and Nuclear Physics.
