XXIII Convention of Indian Association of Physics Teachers

BANGALORE

Bangalore, hailed as the IT Capital of India is also known as Garden City. It has a number of reputed research and academic institutions like the Indian Institute of Science, Raman Research Institute, Jawaharlal Nehru Center for advanced Scientific Research, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Indian space Research organization, Bangalore University , Agricultural University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences etc. It also has a number of higher education institutions imparting quality education in basic Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture and other branches of Science Commerce and literature. It has a number of historical monuments like Tippu's Summer Palace , Bull Temple besides botanical gardens like Lalbaugh and Cubbon Park .

IAPT

Established in 1984, Indian Association of Physics Teachers is voluntary organization with the motive of upgrading the level of teaching Physics at various levels, with special emphasis at under graduate and Post graduate levels. Head quartered at Kanpur , IAPT conducts annual National level examinations for plus two and undergraduate students namely NSEP and NGEP to identify and encourage the talent among the students. It also provides an opportunity for the selected students to take part in the International Olympiad in Physics. It organizes annual conventions and symposia to facilitate physics teaching community to personally interact and discuss about the recent developments in Physics, innovative methods of teaching, designing of innovative experiments to make physics teaching attractive.

IAGI

Indian Academy Group of Institutions Bangalore was established in 1998 and in managed by Indian Academy Education Trust. It offers under graduate and post graduate courses in Science, Arts, Commerce & Management. Besides it has separate Pre University and Nursing Colleges. The college has excellent infrastructure in terms of building, laboratories and library in addition to dedicated and learned faculty members who encourage students both in curricular and extra curricular activities. Besides college also has well equipped separate hostels for Boys and Girls.

Contributions on Convention Themes

Papers are invited on convention themes (main & regular) covering school, college and university levels of education. The material should be within four typed pages (A4 size, one and half spacing) including a short abstract and graphics along with CD. (word format)

All contributions on convention themes and other topics are to be sent to the convention co-coordinator and should carry the author's name, full postal address, organization affiliation, phone no, e-mail id on or before the last date.

Last date for Contributions

The last date for the receipt of all contributions in complete form is 1st September 2008.

Registration Fee :

With accommodation      : Delegate Rs.750/-
Without accommodation  : Delegate Rs.500/-

Separate Registration fee for accompanying persons. The Registration fee covers, convention kit, local hospitality and local conveyance.
