B.A. Journalism is a three years degree program spread over six semesters. The main objective of the course is to develop a flair for writing, ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and to achieve operational efficiencies in the field of Journalism.
In the information age Journalism has become more relevant with the advanced speeds in communications and to make information available to all at their fingertips. A major purpose of journalists is to provide information through the media so that it is broadcast or in other words publicized.
Most graduates in Journalism commence with reporting, but newspapers also seek young talents as photographers, artists, cartoonists, copy editors, computer experts and other specialists. Student who has writing ability, graphics or photo skills, curiosity and determination who is well prepared by education and training should have no difficulty in finding an interesting and challenging position with the Fourth Estate.
