 MASTER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS  (M.I.B.)


The Master of International Business is a  four semester (two academic years) P.G. Program and affiliated to Bangalore University, designed to meet the challenges of the global marketplace and a unique Master’s program in International Business to provide international companies with graduates who have both international business and management skills, global legal environment, with foreign language and cross-cultural competencies. The MIB provides a truly international and multicultural learning environment which makes its graduates very attractive to potential employers worldwide.

The Master of International Business focuses on strategic planning for international operations and provides an in-depth understanding of the organizational capabilities required for international operations, including specialized functions such as international marketing, finance and human resource management

Eligibility:

Candidate who have passed Bachelor’s/ Master Degree of this University or any other University recognized and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate of all papers studied in the qualifying examination eligible for admission to this course

Pedagogy:

The teaching methods are designed to transform the students into competent professionals for international business. Innovative teaching methods such as business games, case analysis, role plays, group discussions, panel discussions, seminars and surveys will be extensively used. Experts from corporate sector will be associated in all these programmes. Thus, a good blend of conceptual skill and practical insight will be provided.

Career Opportunities:

The MIB program positions its graduates for unique careers in a variety of sectors. Master of International Business graduates have had successful careers in international businesses like multinationals, financial services companies, consulting groups, international organizations including the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and International Monetary Fund, large NGOs with cross-sectoral interests and firms with more focused national or developing market interests. Additionally, country managers and risk analysts who must understand the complexity of national and local situations are well-qualified with MIB education

The Department has a placement cell to liaison between the students and potential employers.
