A talk on building relationships by Dr. Meena Jain was the first effort by the Women's Council at fulfilling their aims. This talk was organized with the help of the Inner wheel Club of Bangalore West. The guest speaker was charming and she needs an introduction. Dr. Meena Jain is an adolescent and child Psychologist, is also known for her excellent diagnosis.

Women fall prey to many atrocities despite the efforts of various organizations which have tried to uplift the conditions of women. Dr. Meena Jain said that the reason for this is that women are emotional which in turn makes them weak and traumatic. Therefore it becomes necessary for elderly people to build emotionally intelligent girls, who can build healthy relationships, sustain them and continue till the end. Girls should have commitment to the relationship and they should not fantasize love in it. They should seek intellectual company, should not be reactive and should be adept at building mentally healthy relationships, not sexually unhealthy ones. The art of mature thinking and learning to assess people through observation has to be developed in girls at a young age. Dr. Meena Jain was simple and therefore the children could understand her easily.

Women's council made a good start with this much needed lecture.
