Enthusiasm and zeal was the order of the day on 5 th September for the celebration of Ganesha Chaturthi. The Ganesha idol was by far the best as it had the Trimurthis also. Of course, it had to be extraordinary as it was donated by our beloved Chairman Dr. T. Somasekar. As usual the students of IADC worked with dedication to make the event a grand success. They started planning the function and the decoration the previous day. Devotion and piety was written on the faces of the senior students who organized the pooja without a flaw. A purohit was brought to perform the Homa and the pooja.

The Chairman and Secretary witnessed the pooja and took the blessings of Lord Ganesha. They were joined by the Director, Principal, Vice- Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff. The students finished classes and came down to view the pooja. They relished the prasadam and dispersed for other activities. The unity of the students even with diversity in their religions was clearly seen and the staff was reminded of Balagangadhar Tilak's vision of a unified India . At the end of the day the Ganesh idol was taken to be immersed in water with a long procession of Students who danced their way to the Ulsoor Lake .
